For some reason, bread, ice cream, pasta and rice have a very bad reputation and are believed to make you gain weight, while things like sweet potato and bananas are “healthy!”.
Carbohydrates are NOT the enemy! IN FACT, THEY ARE YOUR BODIES PRIMARY SOURCE OF FUEL.
If you’re after weight loss calories are what matters.
Did you know that fat is a lot more 'calorie dense' than carbohydrates and you can eat more carbohydrates than fat for the same calories?!
1 g of carbohydrates is 4 calories and 1 g of fat is 9 calories.
Remember, if you’re in a calorie deficit, you WILL lose weight, no matter if your carbs come from bread, pasta, banana or donuts OR ICE CREAM!!!
All in moderation of course!
SO Stop labelling food as GOOD vs BAD! I always keep a healthy relationship with food, eating 80% WHOLE FOODS and 20% SOUL FOODS!!
If you’re a dieter that fears carbohydrates, remember, one food does NOT cause weight gain and all food equats to calories!
